Born into a family of diplomats spanning two generations, his early years were defined by constant travel, living as an expatriate across multiple continents. This journey led him through the bustling streets of Cairo, the intellectual and historical richness of Boston, the dynamic development of Doha, and countless other cities and countries. Today, Tinay resides in Sérignan, a charming town in the Occitanie region of Southern France..
A trilingual creative professional, Tinay holds a M.A - Master of Arts degree in Interior Architecture from Suffolk University and a B.S - Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology, both in Boston, Massachusetts. With 20+ years of experience in the Architecture and Design (A&D) industry across the United States, Qatar, and France, he has cultivated an exceptional design career. Prior to transitioning into a more artistic journey, Tinay served as a Senior Designer and Client Representative on a mega-scale project for a prominent oil and gas corporation in Qatar.
Tinay’s design interests transcend boundaries, encompassing architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics, and industrial design—all profoundly influenced by the rich cultural tapestry he has experienced firsthand. His exposure to diverse languages and cultures fuels his creative vision, infusing each project with a unique narrative rooted in multiculturalism.
In recent years, Tinay has also embraced life as a professional artist. For him, art is more than a profession—it is a medium to express the worlds he has encountered. His work captures the essence of a life shaped by diverse cultures, blending them into a singular creative voice.
